The Pass Plus scheme was introduced by the Government, in conjunction with the Association of British Insurers, and is supported by the Driving Tuition Industry. It is administered by the Driving Standards Agency.
It evolved in the mid 1990’s, with the aim of reducing the number of accidents involving young and newly qualified drivers.
Upon successful completion of the course (which does not involve a test), you will be sent a certificate, which entitles you to insurance discounts of up to 40% from participating insurance companies.
Our instructors have all had instances where their pupils have been given substantial discounts off that have more than paid for the course. Obviously all insurance quotations and discounts are individual, and no discounts can be guaranteed.
Topics covered on the course are: Introduction and Town driving,
Adverse weather conditions, Rural roads, Night driving, Dual carriageways and Motorways.
All of our instructors can provide you with further details of this on request, but we most strongly recommend it for the following reasons:
Depending upon where you live, there may be subsidies available to reduce the cost of this course even further - we are currently offering a reduction in the cost of the Pass Plus scheme when taken with the Pass Plus Extra course open to all Derbyshire residents, and we can offer the course for just £80 when you have attended the PPX presentation and have obtained the voucher!
